Tap Mun Visit Part 2 ____________________ #34 - #55 These pictures came from my second roll of film. Looking at the pictures, I think # 34 to 39 were taken at Dan Ga Wan. For those who had been there in those days, Dan Ga Wan was a quiet small village with a very small population. #36 shows the mood of the tranquil harbour of the village well. The few pictures with the various plants also show the abandoned houses by the side of those plants. I can still remember the one-room school that was smaller than those schools that we used to stay in for our work camps. I also remember meeting the school teacher of that school, although I do not remember if I met him on this particular visit or a few years earlier when I took a hiking trip with my high school friends to that area. Starting from the pictures of the shacks in #41, I think we were back to Taap Mun itself. #44 is interesting in that it shows the ruins of a low stone wall on the hill side. It suggests that there likely was a farm or something there in the past. It actually looks like a scene from the Scottish uplands. The pictures of the rocky shore and big waves were taken on the other side of the island. In particular, I think #48 was taken at the location of the sea cave that was supposedly connected to a cave under the Tin Hau Temple, such that one can hear the roaring sound of the waves from Tin Hau Temple.
