Tap Mun Visit Part 1a
Prior to the Taap Mun Survey, the organizing committee visited Taap Mun on March 27, 1965 (that's what my notes said). This is the first roll of film. We also visited Gau Lau Wan and Dan Ga Wan along the way, as those were the places where the ferry would stop. One place that we visited was the ice making factory, which was located in Gau Lau Wan, as I recall. and I also recall that Gau Lau Wan 較流灣 was also known as Go Lau Wan 高流灣, and Dan Ga Wan 蛋家灣 was also known as Tai Ga Wan 泰家灣.
As I cannot clearly distinguish these places, especially when the phot only shows a shoreline with a few village houses, I am not going to label these separately. All these photos will share the same file name prefix of "TMV" (Taap Mun Visit).
All pictures were scanned at 300 dpi, with the exception of the picture of the Tin Hau Temple.
More pictures showing the general landscape of Taap Mun were also taken when we actually arrived for the Survey. I'll likely give those the same file name prefix. Should I change my mind, I'll mentioned that when I post those pictures.
Picture #1 was likely taken at the train station at Tai Po. But the sign in the picture was not clear enough to identify that.
